Why doesn't Rotata request more in-depth information about me like most other websites?

At Rotata, we operate on a need to know basis. We don't need to know anymore about you other than your name and email address, you can now be 100% assured that your information is secure because the information you have submitted is of no possible use to any person/s involved in any type of fraudulent activity online.

Doesn't this lead to multiple accounts from different email addresses on Rotata?

Considering that you can upload as many websites as you wish on one account, this dispenses with any possible need for multiple accounts. If you should wish to use multiple accounts, that's your choice, but there is no advantage to be had by doing so.

Why do I have to compose my own description of my business, wouldn't it be simpler if Rotata used
the same systems as other Search Engines and used an extract from my text?

Yes, this would be simpler, but Rotata believes that YOU should be able to compose an introduction that better describes the content of your website, extracting a paragraph of text from your homepage very rarely reflects the content or the products available on your website.

Why would I wish to enhance my listing with Bold, Subtitle, Colour and Mouse-over Image?

This is YOUR BUSINESS and you should be taking advantage of every possible visit, using these tools and ensuring your listing stands out from the crowd is an excellent method of directing every single visitor to your website and so, gaining as many visits and/or sales as possible.

Rotata requests that I inform my friends and contacts that my business is now listed on Rotata,
why should I do this, and isn't it Rotata's responsibility to promote its own services?

We request that you not only inform your friends and associates, but also you and your friends use Rotata as your main search system and your homepage. This ensures that your business receives the exposure it deserves from all Rotata users. You are correct in assuming that it's Rotata's responsibility to promote its own services, however if we were to utilise an affiliate scheme to promote Rotata it would incur great costs and as a result Rotata would be forced as a matter of survival, to charge for your listing. So we ask you to help us to help you, thus ensuring everybody benefits fully from the service Rotata offers.

Why does Rotata request that for every personal / business listing I submit that I should also submit
a website that I personally find interesting?

Rotata needs to be a balanced Search Engine, and as such, it is necessary that there are also facilities for general searching and research purposes. Although Rotata is primarily a Business Search Engine, it would be an extremely boring place without some variety. And, considering it is cost free to upload websites, we at Rotata would consider it a great favour if you would kindly take the time to do so. As a balanced search system Rotata will attract a greater number of users from all sectors, thus ensuring that all users receive the best possible service.

How do I add a picture or screenshot of my website to my listing?

This is a very simple process, first you must save the picture or screen shot to ‘My Pictures' on your computer, then, simply click on the browse button on the listing page, locate the image in your file, click on the image and we do the rest.

Why do I have to re-list my website/s with Rotata every 26 weeks?

Rotata uses a countdown system, very similar in operation to an auction site to ensure your listing has an equal chance of becoming the No1 RESULT , the system is set at 26 weeks.

Rotata asks that I should report any ‘Link Farm' and ‘Adsense' websites to Rotata admin, why is this?

These types of websites are not what we would term ‘Useful' or ‘Informative', they offer no useful products or content, and exist solely to divert your search towards the various websites and programmes they promote. Individual websites concerned with ‘Real Business' and ‘Genuine Interests' are very welcome, but Rotata will not tolerate it's search systems being cluttered with rubbish that serves no useful purpose.

I understand that by using Rotata it is possible for me to generate extra income streams from the Internet,
how is this possible?

A very large percentage of businesses use affiliate schemes to promote visits to their websites, if you are selective and choose your websites carefully you could find that a considerable amount of visits and subsequent sales are generated by your affiliate link to your favourite and business websites allowing you to generate extra income.

Why does Rotata have as its home page a ‘Multi Search System'?
